Samsung Tv Sky Box. My new samsung smart tv series 8 appears incompatible with my sky+hd box. We’ve just received a 65” frame tv, upon first installation, the tv recognised the sky q (2tb) box properly allowing to use the universal. Can anyone please help, i've just connected my new 75 samsung tv to my sky + box, hdmi out and into hdmi 1 in, the sky box. Every morning when i turn on sky q box (and tv) i get the check device power message. My dad has gone and bought a samsung uhd tv ue40mu6120. Connected via hdmi when scanning it does not. I want to buy a samsung qled 4k tv (55) and use the slim one connect box to connect to a sky q box (and also a dvd player). However there is no scart socket on it. This issue appears to be caused. When going through the set up procedure, it doesn't automatically find a sky q box connected via hdmi (like it does for my apple tv where it shows the apple tv logo in. And i do not know how to.
